The uniqueness of uShaka Marine world is the fact that
four entertainment zones have been combined from 1. The
first one is the interactive aquarium, the second is the
retail mix, then there is the water park with its thrills
and rides, and the forth element which most of the worlds
tourism still want its beachfront attractions. so with
these 4 put together this is going to be a real destination
attraction.
Combine that with the fact that the aquarium is going
to be the 5th largest in the world and the largest in
the Southern hemisphere. Here u will find a theme that
no one in the world can parallel. The name itself uShaka
Marine World combined with the retailing and the retail
theming creates a unique african and Zulu theme |

There's
also a little bit of local folklore in here with a ship
wreck. The ship is a replica of one of many of its kind
that sank of the Kwa-Zulu Natal's coast line and serves
a dual purpose. First as a restaurant and event zone within
the theme park. Wind your way below deck to explore the
shipwrecks in the shark- infested waters of South African's
east coast. Make your way carefully throough the passenger
streamer - the structural damage she suffered twisted,
some of her part upside down, she could fall apart any
moment.
Come nose to snout with the star of "Jaws"
with just a few millimetres of glass between you as you
traverse your way - carefully - through the shiowreck
as you discover the wonders and dangers of the deep.

The sea-filtered water will provide high
quality conditions in an aquarium which will be the only
one to have the largest variety of marine life in the
Western Indian Ocean and will have the largest collection
of sharks in the Southern hemisphere.
The cherry on the top for this exciting development are
the projected four million visitors who are expected within
the first year of operation. A figure which will more
that justify the initial investment made by the city of
Durban in what is seen as a major urban regeneration project.
The Marine world is the first phase of a scheme that will
eventually lead to an investment of a few billion rand
from the private sector. It will eventually have a small
craft harbour, a marina, a canal environment and the like.
